 Gas Saving Tips
June 3, 2008

  1. Employ the Hydrogen (HHO) Fuel Cell Generator.  HHO is combined with your fuel to increase miles per gallon.

  2. Install a Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) or Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor Enhancer.  These devices adjust your Electronic Control Module (ECM) to reduce the amount of fuel necessary to run your engine.

  3. Install Oxygen Sensor Extenders to adjust for the increased amount of oxygen which results from the use of a Hydrogen Generator.

  4. Use fuel additives to increase gas mileage.  The best formula for the money seems to be 2 ounces of Acetone, 3 ounces of Xylene for every 10 gallons of gas.  Be sure and use a funnel with an extension on it so you don't get the mixture on your paint.  Pre-mix the additives in a glass measuring cut,  then pour the additives into the funnel.  Have some water and towels ready in case you accidently get some on your paint.

  5. Install the largest AMSoil “Ea” Oil Filter that will fit on your engine.  Also, make sure your oil filter has an “anti-drainback valve”.  The purpose of this valve is to retain oil in the filter for quick dispersion to the upper part of the engine.  For filter selection visit www.smartsynthetics.com/oil-filters/selection-guide.htm

  6. If a tanker truck is filling the station’s tank at the time you want to buy gas, do not fill up; most likely dirt and sludge in the tank is being stirred up when gas is being delivered, and you might be transferring that dirt from the bottom of their tank into your car’s tank.

  7. Avoid using Ethanol (E85) unless your car is specifically designed for it.  Ethanol is only 67% as much energy as gasoline. (See www.zFacts.com )

  8. AVOID IRIDIUM AND PLATINUM SPARK PLUGS, no matter what your mechanic recommends. He might not realize that you're now in the upper league of the MPG game...with different needs. Iridium and Platinum react badly to Hydrogen. Yes, and another thing – before installation, reduce the spark gap to 0.03”, or 0.75 millimeter.  This will definitely maximize the performance of whichever plug you have chosen.  Again, do this even if the car's book or plug pamphlet say otherwise.

  9. Driving Habits - Your driving style all by itself (your behavior behind the wheel) can increase gas economy by as much as 30%!

  10. Empty your trunk of unnecessary items which add weight to your vehicle.

  11. Check your tire’s air pressure weekly.  Over inflate your tires approximately 10% to increase miles per gallon of gas.

  12. Fill up your gasoline tank in the morning or dawn when it's cool. That's because gas stations have their storage tanks buried below ground; and the colder the ground, the denser the gasoline. You'll be getting more mass of gasoline per gallon.

  13. Demand the tax benefits for qualified cars.  See:

  14. Keep a Driver's Log:
